Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (29 years)

  • Licensed in Texas (1989) and Hawaii (2002)

  • Argued before the Supreme Court of Texas and multiple Texas courts of appeals, including First, Second, Third, Fifth, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, Thirteenth, and Fourteenth

  • Admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and multiple federal circuit and district courts

  • Extensive experience in interlocutory appeals, including special appearances, injunctions, and pleas to the jurisdiction, and original (mandamus) proceedings

  • Proven track record in complex statutory interpretation cases, including Texas Tort Claims Act, 42 U.S.C. § 1983, Title VII, ADA, Equal Pay Act, CERCLA, and ERISA
